The Douglas Municipal Court is the Judicial Branch of the governing body of the Town of Douglas. The Court is part of the Alabama Unified Judicial System. The Municipal Court handles all traffic citations, municipal ordinance violations and misdemeanor criminal arrests initiated by the Douglas Police Department. Court Office Hours are from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Closed for lunch between 12:00 and 1:00. NO PHONE CALLS WILL BE ACCEPTED AND NO MESSAGES WILL BE RETURNED ON COURT DAY. IF PAYMENT IS DUE, YOU MUST APPEAR IN COURT AND THEN MAKE YOUR PAYMENT.
Court is held on the first Wednesday of the month starting at 2:00 p.m.

There will be a 4.5% service fee with a minimum charge of $3.00 assessed by a third-party for all debit and credit card payments. Town of Douglas Municipal Court receives no additional revenue from this fee.
